Critics Confused, But Georgia Teachers Understand Common Core Standards Just Fine
A huge majority of Georgia teachers think that the Common Core standards are worded effectively. While critics may try to sow seeds of doubt by saying that the standards are poorly written, perhaps their time would be better spent actually talking to teachers, the ones who implement the standards. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, “Anywhere from 79.1 percent of analytic geometry teachers to 93.5 percent of first-grade English/language arts teachers said the standards tied to their courses are worded effectively.”
