Gov. Riley & Rep. Ford Discuss Common Core
Former Gov. Riley (R-AL) and former Rep. Harold Ford, Jr., (D-TN) discuss Common Core on SiriusXM. Riley describes Common Core as, “a firewall between the federal government and the states,” a set of standards that will keep educational control with the states. Rep. Ford notes how American schoolchildren are falling behind countries like Vietnam and Russia in education, and high standards can the next generation perform better in college and in their career.
