Nonpartisan Congressional Research Service Report Debunks Gov. Jindal’s Claims
The Congressional Research Service (CRS), the nonpartisan research arm of Congress, released a report on Common Core that contradicts claims made by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, according to The Times-Picayune. The newspaper says, “Common Core is not a curriculum, and it’s all right that the federal Education Department offered millions of dollars for states that adopt it. Those are the conclusions of a new report from the Congressional Research Service, and they would appear to contradict Gov. Bobby Jindal’s claims in a federal lawsuit he filed last month.”
