Wisconsin Teachers Continue to Support Common Core
The Wisconsin Journal Sentinel decided to ask teachers and educators about their thoughts on Common Core. The responses are overwhelmingly positive, with supporters outnumbering detractors by a 6:1 ratio.
For example,Terry Kaldhusdal, a sixth grade teacher in Kettle Moraine Middle School, said:
“The Common Core State Standards changed how I teach, and that change has had a profound impact on my students’ learning. It has changed their motivation, their conversations and their understanding. This blueprint, which allows me freedom to connect our curriculum with the standards, is the best I’ve seen in more than 20 years of teaching.”
