Bipartisan Call for Raising Education Standards

Melody Barnes and John Bridgeland note that, “College and career readiness benchmark scores set by the SAT and ACT have flat lined over the past five years.”
They call for more rigorous standards that will make the graduates of tomorrow ready for either college or a career. This is yet another example of members of both political parties coming together saying that we owe it to students to raise the standards in the classroom.
