The Teacher Becomes the Student In Florida Common Core Training
A three-day training was held for administrators and teachers in Sarasota County, Florida, to help prepare educators to teach Common Core-aligned material. When teachers return to the classroom, “all grades will be implementing the Florida Standards, a tweaked version of the national Common Core program,” says the Herald-Tribune.
And after the training, teachers are excited about the prospect of teaching the new standards:
The gathering of teachers built up her confidence for the new school year, she said.
“I got a head start,” [Sarasota High teacher Hallie] Zagrocki said. “I can start Day 1.”
